[THE RACE HAS BEGUN]
Dimsum the other day with my pledgebros. Yes I was in a fraternity for those that didn’t know. An Asian one in fact. Well thats a story for another day.
The real story is…the race has begun. Lol. Yep. We were catching up on life and all our doings & our mutual friends. It was one of our birthdays recently & mine is coming up, so of course the “I’m getting old” comments slipped out a couple times. But through the course of life you always feel that way. When you’re 22 and your finishing up college and hanging out w/ younger 19 year olds. You feel old. When you hit 27, and you look back at how fast 5 years past by… Its crazy.
But seriously though. The race has begun. And what I mean is my friends are starting to get married. Friends my age. Now that doesn’t really bother me that much. I’m currently experiencing a event in my life right now that I like to call “NO FEELINGS 2012” (Once again thats a story for another day.) What I realized is, its effecting all the women (my female friends).
Now when someone posts a engagement status or a picture of the engagement ring or the happy couple. My automatic thoughts are usually “Damn wtf.” But you know it sinks in and I’m genuinely excited and happy for them. (Unless of course its an ex then.. F*CK U.) But in all seriousness, I think Love is a beautiful thing. I think when you find it, you are lucky and you should never let that go. Especially the ones that have been together forever.
But heres the thing about women….when Sally Single got engaged she posted up a photo of her engagement ring on facebook not just for the likes and the congratulatory messages. Its really to stunt on all her other female counterparts. She’s showing her dominance. She found a man that will take care of her and love her and put a fat ass rock on her finger.
And as much as her friends are leaving the “congratulation….” “omg…” “awwww” messages…inside deep down inside they’re screaming “F*CK THE RACE HAS BEGUN.”
And that gentlemen starts the butterfly effect.
The race/hunt has begun.
May the odds forever be in your favor.
(k i gotta cut it short. i’m late for a meeting)
