Hey! Thanks for the compliment about my writing. LOL haha I actually think my writing sucks, hence why I’m trying to write more. I really appreciate the message though! Makes me want to keep up the blogging lol. And I love Canada dude. Even though the guy was wack, I still had an amazing time in Vancouver and met some great people!

I just got back from Vancouver, and I was debating on wheter or not to write this blogpost just because I don’t really like writing negative stuff on my page, and I want to try my best to keep it positive 100%. But sometimes you just got to do it.
This is more for myself, and if this is too much then don’t read because I’m just going to vent on this dude.
This past weekend I got to go out to Vancouver for a show with Joseph and I’ve never met a promoter that was as shady as this (I’m not going to drop his name just because theres no reason for him to get any shine.) I heard a lot of bad things about this guy from my contacts down in Vancouver but I really wanted to give the guy a chance.
I’m not going to go into details about my first incident with him before I left to Vancouver but it left a very bad taste in my mouth. All I know is that after the first night of staying out there I was already thinking that he didn’t know what he was doing but I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe we were just working with very professional people before hand and this is what would happen when we bump into someone who is still in the learning process. Myself and a fellow manager even went as far as helping him out by planning out the rides & itinerary that didn’t have. We set breakfast time & even soundcheck time. All he needed to do was pick us up. Next morning he leaves us hanging at the Hotel Lobby for an hour and half. When we get there for soundcheck I end up playing sound engineer and helping the acts w/ sound. I felt extra bad for the VIP guest he made wait an extra 2 hours in the cold. (Even though I know you vancouverians can handle that weather. Its messed up. )
The show goes late. He has no set schedule for the show. The other fellow manager ends up buying Pizza for the acts that he brought out for lunch. After the show ended we had to set up dinner for ourselves through him.
I’m not going to go into details with the rest of this kids hospitality skills because I’m going to just focus on the important details.
The icing on the top was that he kind of walked us into a club later that night and just left and said that he would be scheduling our rides for the next morning to the airport.
so the next morning…
this guy STOPS RESPONDING TO MY TEXT MESSAGES & I END UP CABBING IT TO THE AIRPORT w/ the group.
I’ve left out a lot of other details in this blog just because I want to refrain myself from sounding petty. What I’ve mentioned is what I feel that the least I can get is a text message back saying that he couldn’t give us a ride to the airport.
I know you’re probably going to read this dude, I wish you the best of luck. You’re lucky that you had a cast of very professional artists on your lineup and we handled that show for you. I would just like to tell you that everyone could have just not do the show after how you were treating them. We saved the show you semi-put together. That kind of business that you do will come haunting back to you man.
So wrapping up. Great City! Great times with the crew! Great Supporters! Great club! BLVD22. Wack Event Promoters.
Signing out.

I really hope I don’t get attacked by any EDM heads. Just for reference. For the people who care about electronic music, I have never been quite the TRANCE person, but i love house music. I love heavy bass. I love dubstep. For me, and this is just for personal preference. Its lost that underground edge that it once had for me. And it hurts me to write this because I’m so happy that House music is being shared around the world. But seriously its kind of OVERKILL. Even for me, and I throw parties for a living. Its just OVERKILL.
Back then (2-3 years ago) massives were a big deal because some of the best DJS would show up. I’m talking about never being able to see LAIDBACK LUKE EVER, and when he showed up at NOCTURNAL, everybody who heard about him had to go to NOCTURNAL, cuz they weren’t sure if he would show up again. When Banana Splits SUnday at LAX was being runned by AOKI & DJ AM, and you knew that if some HUGE DJ was making a stop by Los Angeles, he was going to stop by to do a quick intimiate set at LAX. And that was the cool factor of it! If you were a house head you had to really dig and figure out where your next favorite dj was playing at and you HAD TO CATCH IT or else you wouldn’t see him/them for a while.
Now, You can catch ANY of these headlining DJS in VEGAS/SD/LA ( I mean Deadmau5 is now a resident dj at VEGAS!) And I hate to say that its a negative thing because it should never be when a DUDE is GETTING PAPER for doing what he loves.
I’m not saying I hate it, it just sucks.
And this isn’t a complaint, this is just me making a statement.
But I got to experience it. It was cool.
- My hardhalloween 09 experience where I got to see Deadmau5 for the first time. I got to see ATRAK my favorite DJ perform for the first time. BloodyBeetroots blew my socks off.
- Hard Summer 09 where the whole massive got shut down, and swat police came out.
- When we saw Kid Cudi blew a gasket at Cinespace because everybody wanted to hear “DAY&NIGHT”
- Watching Lady Gaga perform at LAX doing JUST DANCE before anybody knew who she was.
- The Last Los Angeles EDC where i saw LIL JON, MC a RAVE. lol.
Maybe I’ve seen all the DJs that I’ve wanted to see already (I haven’t seen Tiesto yet.).
I just dont feel that hype that I once felt before, but don’t second guess and say i won’t rock my face off when I hear some dope edm. But will I go out of my way to see somebody? Not likely.
Unless its Daftpunk.
Thats another story.
Thats anticipation.

God, do I sound like one of those cynical people.
FUN FACT :
Check below for the video that got me hooked into Electronic Music. I remember it was 2008, and my friends Daisy & Jenn had just got back from there, and they were so HYPED about DEADMAU5. This was when Deadmau5 barely came out w/ GhostNStuff. He probably had 50,000 views on this. This video made me want to go to Hard Mansion.
i manage joseph vincent & toestah. I’ve probably said that over 100x this year, in emails, in person, etc.
Its usually…
Hi, I’m Tom Ngo and I manage yada & yada. He sings and he raps.
lol. Why? Cuz my work is pretty much my life. Hahah and thats cool, because I really enjoy it. I love music. Thats my passion 100 percent. I’m a big fan of music. My LIFE is MUSIC. I’ll go from Ducksauce to Bun. B to Sinatra. Throw in some Jason Mraz. Joseph Vincent (shameless plug), Wolfgang Gartner and mix it in a bowl with some Childish Gambino. You get it. So when I’m really into something, I’ll be on it non stop.
Lately I’ve been bumping this Drake album. Man its something. Dude definitely lived up to hype. Drake has every guy thinking he’s an R&B singer. Me and my friend likes quoting lyrics. Drake got mad quotables.
I called it on early with my friends.
People are gonna think i’m extra EMO if i quote all this drake shit on my facebook
fuck it! HAHA.
We live in a generation of not being in love. - drizzy
So simple. Dude I like that line. haha
Hahah so today while having some tea with my friends
Tom i get a crapload of your sad status updates on facebook. You don’t seem sad though.
Cuz i’m not!
I just like quoting music! Ahaha Im even talking about choppers sometime! (Thats a gun for you people that is illiterate of the ghetto talk.)
So no worries! If anything…Life is good! Everyones should be. If you can read this, count your blessings. Be thankful for all the GOOD things in your life. Be proud of your accomplishment. Thank goodness for great friends and family.
And if you got anything in life thats not making you feel good. That makes you sad. Wheter its your job, a person, a thing, a habit. Try your best to seperate yourself from that.
And if theres anything/anyone/activity/job that makes you happy. Keep doing that. Keep yourself happy.
I mean thats what life should be about right? Of course, its never going to be a happy trip to your destination. You’re going to have to go through things to get to where you want to be. Thats life. You learn from those mistakes. You endure the pain. You have faith! And you don’t stop till you get what you want.
So just to clear things. Hahah. I’m a happy dude. I’m thankful for my family, my friends. I have a cool gig, I get to be working with two great dudes that are really really really talented.
Joseph Vincent (http://www.facebook.com/josephvincentmusic)
shameless plug, cmon. Can’t knock the hustle. One more.
Toestah (http://www.facebook.com/toestahmusic)
Okay. Subscribe.
Works been great. I’m really excited for the year with Joseph. We had a really good talk today after he called me to play me a new hook that he wrote for his album. (Yes he randomly calls me and sings me love songs over my cell. Ladies be jello. FM plug).
After that we just were talking bullshit and planning over the next couple months. After we hung up, i was like wtf did I really just talk to this dude for 30 minutes on the phone. Haha. It was work & hanging out w/ a friend at the same time.
Later I get this facebook message from the homie Jennifer Chung saying that she was working on this single for her new mixtape with Toestah. I was like wth! (I’m tripping out cuz Toest was out in North Hollywood earlier recording with JV and Mandy Rain, and now he’s in downtown LA doing another recording session with Jenn. This is after a late late recording session the night before on this #DANGERZONE original he has for you guys. shameless plug.) Hearing that makes me happy cuz I know this kid is really grinding, and I’m excited for you guys to hear these 2 mixtapes he’s working on for you guys. Yes I said 2!!
So to wrap up this a.d.d inspired blog post. Enjoy life. Be Happy. Get away from sad things. Don’t take facebook too seriously. Go out and enjoy life.
“they know they know….” ::DRAKE VOICE::
Peace.
