When I got back from Australia I was real quick to get back into concert mode. The Tuesday I got back I took out one of my oldest homie to the YELAWOLF concert in downtown at the world famous El Rey Theatre. I’ve never really been to a concert there but damn was it a treat!
check out these flix from my blackberry
It was pretty crazy! And definitely got the VIP treatment when we rolled up there. We missed DJ CRAZED’s set (DMC CHAMPION) but its cool. When we got there the place was PACKED w/ WHITE BOYS. (Me and the homie had a running bet on what the ethnicity was gonna be there).
Yelawolf definitely tore it up, and he rocks that WHITE BOY HICK shit like crazy. I didn’t expect that at all. He had the crowd moshing and dude actually JUMPED 10 ft off the stage and landed on somebody and I think dude started punching yelawolf. It was pretty wild and something I would like to call #WHITEBOYCRAZY
All in all though, YELAWOLF has a long way to go but I definitely think he’s talent. Dude has some bangers and definitely got the creativity juices flowing for TOESTAH :)
Right before I left to Australia, my wonderful lil sis Jessica Yahya from back in my fraternity days called me up and said she had a extra ticket for the Jcole concert. How can you say no to that! I was already bumping this dudes album and definitely was one of those rappers I was really into at the time.
We headed out early and grabbed dinner & headed on over
He had a couple openers and his DJ was actually really amazing. Dude definitely knew how to drop a track in. Anyways. Coleworld came out and definitely rockked the crowd from his mixtape classics to some amazing new songs off his new album.
I definitely see a bright future for this guy. He was a great performer and fun to watch.
Its been a week since I’ve gotten back from Australia! JETLAG has never effected me before but this tour was quite strenuous and no lie, I’m pretty beat. I’m glad to be back though. After a rough start for this week. I’m definitely trying to get back into the swing of things.
I’m blessed to have a job that will send me halfway across the world and see some of the amazing things in this world and I get to meet so many different people from different walks of life. I think thats what I enjoy most. The people. Before deciding to become a “Manager”, I was studying psychology & communications. I love learning about what makes people tick, and why they are the way they are. This trip wasn’t just a chance for me to meet different people, but also a chance for me to meet myself.
On behalf of Joseph Vincent & Catch Adventures, I want to thank all the amazing fans for supporting Joe and myself in our journey through this music thing. I definitely realize that I am in a place that a lot of people would die to be in. I just hope that I can continue doing a good job and hopefully big things come in the future.
This tour was amazing. We did 4 cities in 4days! Visiting Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne & Sydney. After the tour me and Joseph stayed another week to film a music video and do 2 more shows! (I helped produce & was in this music video!)
Thanks to all the supporters that rocked out with us. The amazing acts that we got to hang out with Poreotics, Just Kidding Films, ArchiTeks, YoMaMa Crew, and JR AQUINO. Big up to the homie Thai & SUPAFAME TOURING for putting together a great show and of course a special THANK YOU to our CREW HOLDING #TEAMJV down in Aussie [ RITCHIE & URBANAGENT] Thanks for treating us like family and taking care of us while we were out in Australia. Definitely feels good to know we got peeps out there looking after our team! — Also want to thank all the amazing promoters/friends/people that we met in the 2 weeks we were there. Its cool to know that there are so many amazing people and thanks for being a part of my life!
Definitely glad to be back….
So I leave you w/ this amazing photo from the VIP CO-ED RESTROOM AT NEVERLAND in MELBOURNE —-
